Ashley and Brent were married in Shelbyville on a rainy May day. Well, it was rainy, then it was sunny, then it was rainy. Which made for a challenging shooting schedule, but beautiful light! These two are so sweet and genuine, it was a pleasure from beginning to end working with them. And boy does the camera love these two! My daughter (and assistant) Jordan caught some beautiful moments immediately after the ceremony. Then, during the reception I was laughing so hard I almost couldn’t shoot! Ashley’s maid of honor was doing her toast, talking about rooming with Ashley. Ashley’s reactions were absolutely hilarious. What a hoot! See the rest of their wedding pics here.

What a beautiful, fun couple! Another great day for a wedding at the beautiful Bloomington Country Club. Ok, seriously, do these two have the prettiest teeth you’ve ever seen or what? And oh my, Robyn was so much fun! Not only is she just gorgeous, she wins the prize for the most expressive and outgoing bride so far! I had SO much fun shooting this wedding. This was such a fun group–I do think this was the first time I’ve ever had a wedding with LIMBO at the reception-but it was great! Check out the rest of the wedding pics here!

One of my favorite things to do in my (ha) free time is nature photography. Many times while I’m waiting for clients at a shoot (in particular at Oliver Winery who has the most amazing gardens in the county) I’ll take a few minutes and just play! Here are a few of my recent florals from Oliver Winery and also my home gardens. Enjoy!

Andy and Lindsay are a fun couple who wanted to do their session at the airport. Andy is a pilot, and Lindsay is a nurse-busy folks! Andy was a groomsman at one of my weddings last year, and was in the infamous “piano picture.” Everyone keeps telling me that this wedding is going to be wild and lots of fun. I can’t wait!

Another beautiful couple, boy am I blessed or what? How do I keep getting such gorgeous folks to shoot? All of my brides and grooms are amazing! Nic and Elizabeth got married at St. Johns and had their reception at the beautiful Bloomington Country Club. The wedding was perfect. Elizabeth was stunning and Nic was so handsome, here are a few of my favorites from the day:

Beautiful yummy cake from Angel-B’s, and more incredible florals from Peppertree.

What a gorgeous couple! Cole’s sister told me that folks call Cole “Ken” but the don’t call Nichole “Barbie,” they call her “Skipper!” Cause she’s so tiny. I thought that was hilarious. Nichole is studying to be a medical doctor and Cole is a gifted singer, songwriter and guitar player who sings with a gospel bluegrass group called “Born Again.” As a matter of fact, they re-created the proposal scene for me to photograph, and Cole sang the song that he wrote and sang to her when he proposed. It was beautiful, gave me goosebumps!
I was already booked for their wedding date, but was so happy they asked me to do their engagement session. Now let me tell you, these two put a LOT of thought into that session! They had all kinds of great scenarios and set-ups, props, etc. ready to go. We had so much fun. Cole’s beautiful sister Corrie, who is an amazing singer in her own right, spent the whole day with us. We had a blast!! These two beautiful gifted young people are looking forward to being involved in Missions soon, where Cole’s dad will preach, Cole will take care of the music, and Nichole will offer medical treatment. I think it’s wonderful that they want to serve the Lord with their lives and talents. Here are my top pics from the shoot. Have a happy wedding, Cole and Nichole, wish I could be there!

Okay, I have to admit I am a little partial to this family. Bobby and Amy were one of my bride and grooms a couple of years ago, and they couldn’t have been sweeter. (We also have a very interesting wedding story involving a photo by the waterfall, a drunken golfer, a too close ball and the ensuing golf-cart chase.-ask me sometime, I’ll tell you all about it!) Kaiden has come for his photos at 3, 6, 9, 12 and now 18 months. I can’t believe he’s getting so big, and so cute! Of course, he’s a little mini-me of his daddy. We had a great time at Oliver Winery letting him explore, feed the fish, watch the goose and her babies and splash in the water. Oh yeah, we also watched him FLIRT like crazy with every pretty girl that walked by!

Hmmm, I think that if Kaiden could talk he would have been telling me, “Hey lady, get that camera out of my face!”

This is Kaiden showing off his baby sign language skills! How cute is this?

Craig and Jennifer got married at the beautiful Deer Park Manor on a VERY windy day. We, of course, wanted to take advantage of the beautiful grounds for photos, but the wind made it challenging! It even knocked over some of the floral arrangements for the ceremony. But they persevered and were able to have their ceremony outside–it was beautiful. Craig and Jennifer are an amazing couple who obviously love each other very much, and were an absolute delight to work with. Here’s a few of my favorites from the wedding:

Can you believe these gorgeous flowers? The tulips opened up wide and looked even more spectacular. Andrea at Peppertree Floral did an amazing job, like she always does!

Courtney came in and I thought “cute girl.” Then I took a few pictures and thought “WOW -way photogenic girl!” She has the most amazing blue eyes, and loves the camera. And it loves her back! A family friend brought the VERY hot car to our location shoot and we had a great time getting some neat shots. Courtney’s mom knows what kind of car it is, she’s a car chick. I’m not, I couldn’t tell you. All I know is it’s cool and it’s orange!

OK, this couple officially wins the prize for the cutest couple ever. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen 2 people laugh and giggle more than these two. And the camera just loves them! It was so fun to shoot them, they were totally comfortable and natural in front of the camera, which makes my job EASY! The wedding was great, photos to come soon!
